This edition of the Storytellers Channel’s newsletter I’m going to share a treat with you. Saturday night a week ago Jim Lavender gathered his children and grandchildren and the children and grandchildren of friends around the hearth at his house at Bear Creek Hollow Farm in the low hills of Virginia’s hunt country and he told them a story that stretched from before the first Christmas to today.. A story of his family and his faith. One we’re sure you’ll want to share with your family.
Enjoy,

Dr. Jim’s Christmas Story

Dr. Jim Lavender grew up in a small town in Mississippi; dyslexic, ADHD, and afraid to speak to anyone outside his family. From those humble beginnings he has traveled the world sharing a message of love.
Dr. Jim is a formerly retired Methodist minister (retirement lasted less than a year). He’s a member of the Virginia Storytelling Alliance, the National Storytelling Network and will be one of the three storytellers at the Third Annual Hearts Afire Storytelling Festival in Richmond, VA 1/25-26/2019.
I encourage you to download the video of Dr. Jim’s Christmas Story and share it with your family. I thoroughly enjoyed listening and I hope you do as well. I expect it will be come a Christmas tradition in our house. Let us know if you feel the same way.
